Yet another rejection

Well, I didn't get the job I interviewed for. I was told that I didn't have enough of a math and science background. The superientendent told me that I carry myself well, I am very well spoken, and I clearly know my stuff but I am not the right fit for this particular position. She then asked the principal if they have another offer for me because she didn't want to lose me. The principal said there is a part time basic skills position. I said I would be interested in that. The superientendent then said, "consider this an interview for that. You won't have to come back to interview." They also gave me a packet for subbing. They shook my hand and that was it. I really do hope they offer me the basic skills position. I really don't want to sub.

Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.

Aww I'm sorry, Tara. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you to get the basic skills position. If anything, that's a great foot in the door that if a full time position did open up, they have you to fill it, since they seem to really like you.

I'm still very hopeful for you. They obviously really like you to be letting you know about the other position even if it's part-time. There's a blue moon on the 31st so maybe that'll help bring you good luck.

Hey, the thing you were worried most about was impressing the superintendent, and you did that! So much so that she wanted to offer you another job! That is quite impressive if you ask me.
